- AAPC certification
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in medical billing and collections
- Knowledge of revenue cycle management
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Excel
- Experience with eBridge, Putty, and Lyra software
- High ethical standards and ability to handle confidential materials
Responsibilities
- Assign and sequence diagnoses and procedures per ICD-10 CM Official Coding Guidelines.
- Evaluate and audit provider-assigned CPT and HCPC codes.
- Manage billing, insurance follow-up, and charge entry.
- Analyze and resolve charge entry coding errors.
- Report and analyze coding trends and findings.
- Interpret regulatory and payer rules concerning coding.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance within the revenue cycle.
