- Strong experience underwriting or related insurance experience
- Previous experience within Accident & Health underwriting
- ACII qualification or currently working towards it
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Existing relationships with producing brokers
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and underwriting software
- A flexible and adaptable approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow
Responsibilities
- Review complex insurance applications and assess levels of risk against underwriting guidelines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with producing brokers to achieve growth targets.
- Develop and expand ISC’s A&H portfolio across the European market
- Utilise underwriting systems, databases, and software to accurately evaluate and price risks.
- Offer recommendations to reduce client exposure and improve insurance submissions.
- Collaborate closely with the underwriting team to ensure efficient processing of applications.
- Ensure all underwriting activity complies with industry and regulatory standards.
- Share market insight, knowledge, and expertise to support team development.
- Help contribute towards ambitious business growth targets and premium goals.
