Requirements

  • Significant corporate law experience including securities, equity programs, capital markets, corporate governance, M&A, and international subsidiary management.
  • Demonstrated employment law experience with the ability to build scalable processes and policies; comfort advising on sensitive employee relations matters.
  • Operationally minded systems thinker, able to lead the Legal Operations function and drive infrastructure improvements.
  • Prior in-house experience required, at a company of similar scale and growth stage strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting or preparing for a liquidity event is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent judgment, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience using AI tools to improve drafting, research, and operational efficiency.
  • J.D. degree and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the corporate legal function — corporate governance, securities law compliance, global equity programs, international subsidiary management, and corporate transactions; support board and committee preparation and documentation.
  • Oversee global employment legal matters, partner with the People team to build scalable employment policies, templates, and processes, and advise on sensitive employee relations matters.
  • Manage and develop the Legal Operations function, including direct oversight of the Legal Operations Manager and responsibility for legal tooling, processes, and operational strategy.
  • Partner with Finance and Accounting on domestic and international tax, audit, intercompany, and subsidiary governance; support Compensation Committee and Audit Committee matters.
  • Lead corporate transactions, serve as primary point of contact with outside counsel, and ensure effective project management, timely executive updates, and cost-efficient use of external legal resources.
  • Advise on emerging legal and policy issues relating to AI systems use, regulatory developments, compliance, and risk management; drive cross-functional collaboration across leadership.
