Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing with Shopify including Shopify Plus.
- Deep understanding of Hydrogen, Oxygen, Liquid, and Shopify Functions.
- Expertise in React, Next.js/Remix, Tailwind CSS, and TypeScript.
- Proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, and serverless functions.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and GraphQL schema design.
- Proven experience with Gadget.dev and building Shopify-integrated apps.
- Hands-on experience with headless CMS platforms (Contentful, Sanity, AEM).
- Expertise in multi-tenant architectures, CDN caching, and edge functions.
- Strong leadership skills and experience mentoring engineers.
- Excellent communication skills for async collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Architect full-stack applications with Shopify as the backend and modern front-end frameworks.
- Lead the development of scalable, modular, and high-performance Shopify applications.
- Develop and optimize Gadget.dev-based applications, integrating them with Shopify APIs.
- Design system architecture for enterprise traffic and multi-region deployments.
- Implement integrations with payment gateways, ERPs, CRMs, and 3PL providers.
- Build performant API layers using GraphQL, REST, or custom middleware.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and automated deployment tools.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and leads on technical strategy.
- Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews.
- Conduct performance audits, A/B tests, and optimizations.
