Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in business insights, analytics, or a closely related function.
- Advanced SQL skills.
- Experience working with large-scale behavioral, subscription, billing, financial, or operational data sets.
- Strong experience building data visualizations and dashboards in BI tools (e.g., Mode, Omni, Tableau, Looker).
- Proven track record of translating vague business questions into clear analyses and recommendations.
- Excellent spreadsheet skills in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Strong analytical fundamentals (cohort/funnel/retention analysis, KPI design, forecasting, anomaly detection).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder partnership and influence skills.
- Strong sense of ownership and prioritization.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the core business scorecards, dashboards, and ad-hoc analyses.
- Translate ambiguous questions from stakeholders into structured analytical plans and actionable recommendations.
- Build deep expertise in Philo's billing and subscription ecosystem.
- Identify operational and product levers that improve subscriber health and revenue retention.
- Partner with Growth and Lifecycle Marketing on acquisition, funnel performance, and cohort health.
- Partner with Product, Design, and Data Science on customer journey and feature adoption analysis.
- Partner with Content, Programming, and Marketing to analyze engagement and conversion patterns.
- Support customer-facing teams with insights into support contact drivers and billing friction.
- Build executive-ready materials that connect numbers to narrative.
- Improve data quality by partnering with engineering on instrumentation and metric governance.
