Requirements
- 7+ years of backend and/or ML engineering experience.
- Deep expertise in Python.
- Production experience building AI/LLM-powered systems (RAG, agentic workflows, model observability).
- Experience leading technical design and architectural decisions for complex systems.
- Proficiency with relational/NoSQL databases and data modeling.
- Experience with cloud-native systems (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, IaC).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, observability, and production reliability.
- Hands-on experience with AI-native development tools (e.g., Cursor, Augment).
- Proven ability to mentor and raise technical standards within a team.
Responsibilities
- Set technical direction for AI systems including SDKs, evaluation frameworks, and agentic infrastructure.
- Own architecture and strategy for complex backend and AI platform systems.
- Lead technical design for ambiguous cross-functional initiatives.
- Write production code and design LLM-powered systems like RAG pipelines.
- Define quality benchmarks and feedback loops for AI output accuracy.
- Champion AI-native development practices and tools across the engineering team.
- Mentor engineers and establish architectural documentation and standards.
- Partner with recruiting to build and grow the team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and QA teams.
