- Active PMHNP license in Virginia
- Minimum of 2 years experience working independently as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner
- Minimum of 1 year experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults under any nursing license
- Board Certification by ANCC or AANP (PMHNP-BC)
- DEA license
- State Prescriptive Authority License
- Commitment to a minimum of 10 hours per week
- Experience with Google Suite and EHR systems
- Access to a computer, phone, and high-speed internet
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses for children, adolescents, and young adults.
- Develop personalized treatment plans and provide medication management.
- Build therapeutic relationships and provide ongoing support to families.
- Monitor patient progress against care goals and proactively address safety concerns.
- Work closely with therapists and healthcare professionals to create integrated treatment plans.
- Provide consultation and education to patients and families regarding diagnoses and treatment options.
- Maintain thorough, HIPAA-compliant patient records and documentation.
- Oversee diagnostic testing and partner with administrative teams on clinical tasks.
