Requirements
- Extensive experience overseeing data architecture in one or more OLAP domains.
- Strong understanding of data modelling (Star, Medallion) and distributed systems in cloud-native environments (e.g., Snowflake).
- Experience building and leveraging unstructured data for product development.
- Proven communication and influencing skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience supporting the growth of engineers and technical leads.
- Demonstrable experience working in an ownership culture (quality, performance, observability, security).
- Understanding and opinion on AI-first engineering.
- Experience contributing to or leading technical communities of practice.
- Practical knowledge of DataOps (CI/CD for data, orchestration, AWS, Debezium, Git, Infra as Code).
- Commercial knowledge of data security, encryption, and compliance laws.
- Platform financial acumen regarding SaaS spend and forecasting.
Responsibilities
- Define and evangelise target architectures bridging transactional, analytical, and AI systems.
- Lead end-to-end data lifecycle from OLTP design to OLAP governance.
- Partner with Technical Leads to provide hands-on guidance on feature delivery and tech debt.
- Collaborate with Product Directors to translate product vision into technical deliverables.
- Lead the shift to AI-First ways of working.
- Architect infrastructure for LLM orchestration, RAG, and real-time model inference.
- Mentor and coach Technical Leads and Senior Engineers.
- Head up architectural reviews ensuring quality, reliability, security, and compliance.
