Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 3 years of experience in accounting for a multifamily or single-family rental (SFR) owner/manager.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Proficiency in General Ledger or Property Management software.
- Effective presentation skills.
- Ability to adhere to tight deadlines.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Import financial data to complete asset-level journal entries for comingled and PE fund investment vehicles.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Review and approve property managers’ weekly draw requests for operating expenses and capital expenditures.
- Prepare variance analyses on property managers’ financial statements.
- Maintain tracking databases for property taxes.
- Assist in developing internal policies and procedures.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc analyses of revenue, expenses, and capital expenditures.
- Collaborate with internal and external property management and asset management teams.
- Maintain forward-looking cash projections for investment vehicles.
