Requirements
- 12+ years of professional software development experience.
- 5+ years leading cross-functional architectural initiatives in high-compliance environments (FinTech, Banking, or E-commerce).
- Expert Java development experience.
- Proficiency in Python and Node.js.
- Experience maintaining or migrating legacy VB6 codebases.
- Deep understanding of SOX and PCI compliance frameworks.
- Mastery in designing distributed systems.
- Strong analytical thinking and data-driven problem solving.
- Proven experience in team coaching, mentorship, and engineering leadership.
- Ability to lead teams through organizational or process transitions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of highly optimized, scalable billing services using Java, Python, and Node.js.
- Maintain and modernize legacy components in VB6.
- Partner with Finance, Legal, and Product teams to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications.
- Own the multi-year technical roadmap for billing systems.
- Ensure compliance with SOX and PCI-DSS requirements.
- Manage team productivity, conduct code reviews, and mentor engineers.
- Proactively resolve systemic bottlenecks and debugging challenges.
- Interface with third-party payment gateways and financial service providers.
