Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Curriculum & Instruction, English, Journalism or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in K-12 curriculum development, instructional design, or content creation.
- Strong working knowledge of K-12 ELA pedagogy, standards, and effective teaching methods.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Fluency with AI tools.
- Strong organizational and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize work effectively.
Responsibilities
- Write, design, and structure detailed lessons, activities, and student worksheets.
- Identify, vet, and edit grade-appropriate student-facing texts.
- Develop formative and summative assessment items and rubrics.
- Review and provide editorial and pedagogical feedback on content.
- Apply science of reading principles to instructional design.
- Ensure content adheres to state ELA standards.
- Design materials with accessibility and scaffolding for diverse learners.
- Coordinate with freelancers and product managers to maintain quality standards.
