Requirements
- Roughly 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proven track record of success as a senior software engineer.
- Direct experience building and delivering software using a high-level programming language.
- Ability to work effectively at the complexity level of a command-line application.
- Eagerness to learn and work across a broad stack including Ruby, Rails, React, TypeScript, Postgres, Redis, AWS CDK, and Docker.
- Strong collaborative mindset.
Responsibilities
- Scale the throughput and performance of the backend job processing engine.
- Write and review high-quality, well-tested code.
- Own solutions from development through to production.
- Improve action throughput to meet growing scale.
- Create job prioritization controls for internal and customer use.
- Optimize storage and search of customer event data.
- Ensure balanced and fair job execution on multitenant stacks.
- Enhance observability features for workflow status, latency, and alerting.
- Mentor other engineers.
