Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in community affairs, community relations or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Political Science, Public Relations, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with diverse community stakeholders.
  • Experience engaging with industry advocacy organizations and managing nonprofit relationships.
  • Proficiency with Meltwater, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and coordinate community engagement initiatives across active and pipeline development markets.
  • Build and maintain trust-based relationships with local external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional internal teams including Real Estate, Development, Legal, and Public Affairs.
  • Monitor community sentiment and track engagement calendars and deliverables.
  • Act as liaison to K-12 schools and represent the company at STEM events.
  • Manage media inquiry logs, press release distribution, and media monitoring.
  • Research and manage award nomination calendars and draft submission narratives.
  • Maintain the communications content calendar and assist in project coordination.
