Job Details

Experience: 8+ years

Requirements

8+ years of experience in the electric power or energy industry
Direct experience with CAISO, WECC, or utilities within the WECC footprint
Hands-on expertise with generation and load interconnection studies and transmission planning
Experience with injection and deliverability studies, Transitional Cluster studies, and load interconnection analyses
Strong knowledge of IBR modeling, load modeling, EMT studies, and generation interconnection processes
Proficiency with PSLF, PSSE, PSCAD, TARA, and ASPEN
Strong understanding of ISO and utility interconnection standards within WECC
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively

Responsibilities

Lead and perform complex generation and load interconnection studies aligned with ISO and utility methodologies
Execute and oversee model benchmarking activities
Serve as a subject matter expert on WECC interconnection standards
Strengthen delivery methodologies, QA/QC frameworks, and technical standards
Mentor and develop engineering team members
Act as a trusted advisor to developers and stakeholders
Conduct technical reviews of interconnection studies
Collaborate with senior leadership to support business growth and go-to-market strategies
