Requirements
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering (power systems focus) or Mechanical Engineering
- Professional Engineering License (PE) required
- 7+ years of electrical design experience in gas turbine, cogeneration, or reciprocating engine power plants
- 7+ years of experience with electrical systems in power generation or industrial facilities
- Experience with major OEMs such as GE, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Solar Turbines, Wärtsilä, Caterpillar, or MAN
- Hands-on experience with simple-cycle, combined-cycle, CHP, and reciprocating engine configurations
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Develop AC Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), HV–MV designs, grounding schemes, and power distribution systems.
- Select and specify electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, and instrumentation to meet project requirements and industry standards.
- Oversee installation, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), start-up, and troubleshooting of electrical systems for turbine and engine plants.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety regulations and industry standards, including the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Collaborate with mechanical, controls, and other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with overall plant operations.
- Manage assigned projects to meet quality, schedule, and budget objectives while providing technical guidance.
- Contribute to the advancement of internal engineering standards and best practices for power generation projects.
