Requirements

  • Law degree and bar membership in good standing.
  • At least 12 years of legal practice preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience managing teams in a legal advocacy context.
  • Significant prior experience with voting rights and/or election law.
  • Prior experience working on communication and public-facing materials.
  • Prior experience working in coalition with government and non-government partners.
  • Prior experience working in government or directly representing government officials.
  • Substantial knowledge of constitutional law and relevant legal topics.
  • Strong project management skills (e.g., Asana, Salesforce).
  • Willingness to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure EPH operates as a high-performing team serving 250+ local election officials.
  • Hire, supervise, coach, and develop six direct reports.
  • Recruit election officials to participate in EPH activities.
  • Oversee legal work, technical assistance, and training provided to election officials.
  • Coordinate advocacy strategies for election administration and voting rights.
  • Identify and assist with litigation, amicus, and regulatory opportunities.
  • Represent the organization at conferences, events, and in media briefings.
  • Manage the EPH budget and report progress to the development team.
