- Minimum of two years of progressive leadership experience in a managed care organization or practice setting
Requirements
- Doctor of medicine or osteopathy in adult psychiatry
- Unrestricted license to practice in Oregon
- Board certification in adult psychiatry
- Two years of progressively responsible people management experience
- Two years of progressive leadership experience in a managed care organization or practice setting
- Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance requirements
- Knowledge of managed care operations
- Demonstrated use of quality management techniques in a managed care setting
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and execute effective programs in all areas of integration and behavioral health.
- Work with colleagues to manage clinical and wellness programs.
- Implement, direct and oversee utilization, case, disease, and/or quality management programs.
- Develop programs for educating participating physicians regarding quality and utilization management.
- Represent the health plan in medical and professional organizations.
- Serve as a medical spokesperson for service area expansions and contract negotiations.
- Maintain a motivated and competent team through communication and delegation.
