Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in data engineering, integration architecture, or enterprise data platform leadership roles.
- Strong expertise in data integration architecture, APIs, ETL processes, and real-time data streaming systems.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms and tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, API management, Kafka, and messaging systems.
- Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale enterprise integration solutions.
- Strong background in solution architecture, data modeling, and system design.
- Excellent leadership experience managing global, distributed engineering teams.
- Strong decision-making, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare or clinical research is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Relevant cloud or data engineering certifications (e.g., Azure) are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Define and lead enterprise-wide data engineering and integration strategies to enable seamless data flow across systems and external partners.
- Collaborate with IT leadership and business units to identify integration needs and design scalable, cost-effective data solutions.
- Oversee architecture design and ensure implementation of robust, secure, and scalable integration platforms.
- Drive adoption of best practices, standardized frameworks, and tools across global data engineering teams.
- Guide and mentor large distributed teams across multiple regions, ensuring delivery quality and alignment with business objectives.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to data integration platforms and enterprise architecture.
- Ensure proper documentation of solution designs, architecture decisions, and technical deliverables.
- Monitor project execution and communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to senior stakeholders.
- Foster collaboration between engineering teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of integration initiatives.
