Requirements
- Proven experience developing and delivering secure software solutions using languages such as Go and Python.
- Strong expertise in cloud security principles and securing cloud or hybrid-cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Podman, containers, or similar cloud-native technologies.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor AI, Claude, or similar technologies used to accelerate engineering workflows.
- Strong understanding of security controls, risk management, and compliance frameworks including NIST, PCI DSS, and ISO standards.
- Ability to communicate complex technical and compliance concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working independently within remote and globally distributed teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, proactive mindset, and passion for continuous improvement.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or CISA are considered a plus.
- Exposure to open-source software ecosystems and collaborative development environments is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Lead security and compliance initiatives related to sovereign cloud environments and enterprise-grade cloud offerings.
- Drive technical discussions across engineering, product, compliance, sales, and third-party audit teams to ensure alignment on security objectives.
- Design, develop, and implement scalable automation solutions that improve security operations, compliance processes, and product security maturity.
- Support secure software development and downstream integration of open-source projects while contributing to organization-specific security capabilities.
- Analyze risks, evaluate security controls, and ensure alignment with frameworks such as NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and other regulatory standards.
- Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence.
- Advocate for security and compliance best practices internally and externally with customers, partners, and the broader open-source community.
- Collaborate within globally distributed teams to support continuous delivery of secure cloud-native products and infrastructure.
