Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of medical coding experience.
- Strong knowledge of outpatient professional coding and claim adjudication.
- At least 2 years of leadership experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
- Strong understanding of code editing processes and denial management workflows.
- Preferred CPC certification (AAPC).
- Demonstrated ability to lead remote or distributed teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the coding disputes team, including scheduling, workload distribution, and performance management.
- Lead and coordinate with team leads to ensure consistent application of processes and coding standards.
- Review existing workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Monitor team adherence to policies and procedures while providing coaching and guidance.
- Analyze dispute trends and operational data to identify root causes and recurring issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support improvement initiatives and refine dispute processes.
