Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Hands-on work in frontend development for web (React, TypeScript, CSS).
- Hands-on work in mobile (iOS/Swift, Android/Kotlin) or cross-platform frameworks.
- 3+ years of experience managing software engineering teams.
- Proven track record of developing and retaining strong engineers.
- Ability to lead cross-platform frontend teams.
- Experience navigating trade-offs between platform-native and shared-component approaches.
- Experience building or managing AI-powered or agentic applications (preferred).
- Familiarity with multimodal input/output and streaming UX patterns (preferred).
- Technical credibility in frontend development.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a team of 6–10 frontend engineers spanning web, iOS, and Android.
- Foster a culture of craft, cross-platform collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Evolve and extend the UX for Zillow's AI Mode across platforms.
- Own sprint planning, roadmap execution, and cross-team coordination.
- Develop and coach engineers, providing feedback and supporting career growth.
- Partner across product, design, AI/ML, and peer engineering teams.
- Establish consistent UX principles across platforms.
- Drive integrated agentic experiences to production.
