- Ability to work remotely without significant daily oversight
- Willingness to travel sporadically throughout the year
Responsibilities
- Stay abreast of federal and state policy debates related to child care, paid leave, and family policy
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and identify opportunities to advance IW’s policy approach
- Support policy staff with research and drafting of content
- Draft policy papers and issue briefs related to family policy
- Draft blogs and op-eds on child care, paid leave, and related issues
- Create and maintain resources tracking key legislation and policy trends
- Work with State Affairs team to draft content for advocacy materials
- Engage with stakeholders, families, and policy experts
- Work with government officials and coalitions on proposed legislation
- Support messaging and communications strategy
