Responsibilities

  • Stay abreast of federal and state policy debates related to child care, paid leave, and family policy
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and identify opportunities to advance IW’s policy approach
  • Support policy staff with research and drafting of content
  • Draft policy papers and issue briefs related to family policy
  • Draft blogs and op-eds on child care, paid leave, and related issues
  • Create and maintain resources tracking key legislation and policy trends
  • Work with State Affairs team to draft content for advocacy materials
  • Engage with stakeholders, families, and policy experts
  • Work with government officials and coalitions on proposed legislation
  • Support messaging and communications strategy
