Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 8–12+ years of software engineering experience, including 3–5+ years in engineering leadership roles
- Proven experience owning production-grade, customer-facing platforms with accountability for reliability and performance
- Strong background in designing scalable systems, including microservices and high-traffic web architectures
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools
- Ability to debug complex production issues using logs, metrics, and system monitoring tools
- Demonstrated success leading distributed engineering teams in fast-paced, high-change environments
- Strong collaboration skills working with cross-functional teams such as Product, QA, Support, and Customer Success
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end engineering delivery, system reliability, and performance for a large-scale customer-facing platform, balancing roadmap execution, BAU, and production stability
- Lead the design and execution of next-generation platform architecture and modernization initiatives
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with Product, Commercial, Claims, and other stakeholders to ensure a unified platform experience
- Oversee migration and consolidation of legacy systems into modern platforms with minimal disruption to customers
- Ensure high availability, observability, and performance through strong incident management and production monitoring practices
- Partner with business and customer-facing teams to prioritize and resolve critical customer-impacting issues
- Build, lead, and scale high-performing engineering teams across distributed locations
