Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field.
- Active unrestricted Registered Dietitian certification (Commission on Dietetic Registration).
- Active state dietitian licensure with willingness to obtain additional states.
- 2+ years of experience in kidney or chronic disease care.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA.
- Proficiency in virtual care platforms.
- Strong patient counseling and education skills.
- Ability to develop individualized nutrition guidance for behavior change.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including nurses, social workers, and physicians.
- Conduct virtual nutritional assessments for patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD).
- Develop personalized, evidence-based nutrition care plans.
- Educate patients and caregivers on kidney-related dietary adjustments.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of patient interactions.
- Practice within scope and make appropriate interdisciplinary referrals.
