Requirements
- 5+ years of revenue cycle experience, with a strong focus in medical oncology billing
- Prior management or supervisory experience required
- Deep knowledge of oncology coding and billing
- Strong understanding of payer rules, reimbursement models, and denial management
- Experience working with EMR/PM systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, OncoEMR preferred)
- Proven ability to analyze data and drive measurable improvements
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end revenue cycle operations, including coding, charge capture, billing, AR, and collections within oncology services
- Manage and support billing staff; provide coaching, workflow oversight, and performance monitoring
- Ensure accurate billing for oncology-specific services (e.g., infusion, drug administration, J-codes, prior authorizations)
- Identify and resolve denials, underpayments, and payer-specific issues
- Analyze KPIs and implement process improvements
- Partner with clinical, finance, and compliance teams
- Support audits and ensure compliance with CMS guidelines and oncology billing regulations
