Requirements
- 5+ years writing production code in a modern language (Typescript, Python, Java, Kotlin, Rust, Swift, Go, etc.).
- 3+ years working with relational databases.
- 3+ years executing DevOps type tasks in a public cloud.
- Proven leadership experience leading teams to build consumer-facing products.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical vision and roadmaps.
- Experience collaborating closely with product, design, and customer success teams.
- Strong critical reasoning and business judgment.
- Entrepreneurial mindset.
- Experience building production-grade software in a security-conscious industry (Healthcare or FinTech).
- Strong focus on execution and release management.
- Realistic estimation and negotiation skills.
- Passion for learning, coaching, and mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Work with a small, high-performing, user-centric engineering team to deliver high-impact work.
- Review team members’ code and provide coaching and feedback.
- Oversee and drive the release process to improve stability and frequency.
- Motivate and guide the team through complex problem solving.
- Partner with senior engineers to design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain production software.
- Partner with product teams to align on requirements, scope, and delivery expectations.
- Drive a security and quality-first approach within the team.
- Implement monitoring strategies to detect and mitigate production issues.
