Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Finance or related field
  • Passed at least three actuarial exams
  • Advanced to expert level proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced to expert level proficiency with SQL
  • Intermediate level proficiency with PowerBI
  • Novice+ level proficiency with Python and R
  • Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize work

Responsibilities

  • Create, develop, and manage risk assessment tools supporting customer accounts
  • Maintain a data warehouse for quality assurance and business records
  • Prepare and analyze statistical models
  • Prepare statistics to assist the actuary in planning and premium charging
  • Support actuarial and external audits
  • Provide financial transaction details to the finance department
  • Train new actuarial staff
