Requirements
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws (including EEOC, NLRB).
- 4–7 years of experience in labor relations in a unionized environment.
- Experience administering U.S. collective bargaining agreements managing grievances and supporting negotiations.
- Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong writing and organizational skills.
- Ability to advise and influence managers, balancing business needs, employee impact, and legal considerations.
- Strong communicator and listener, skilled at navigating complex stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
- Experience with database management.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with union representatives to resolve issues and prevent unnecessary escalation.
- Administer and interpret collective bargaining agreements; advise leaders to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
- Manage grievances end-to-end, including investigation, documentation, and pre-arbitration in partnership with HR and legal.
- Support collective bargaining through research, analysis, and preparation of proposals and materials.
- Prepare arbitration cases by organizing documentation, timelines, and supporting materials.
- Coordinate labor relations activities across HR, counsel and regional stakeholders.
- Analyze grievance and labor data to identify trends and support decision-making and risk mitigation.
- Train and guide managers on contract interpretation and labor-related practices.
