Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws (including EEOC, NLRB).
  • 4–7 years of experience in labor relations in a unionized environment.
  • Experience administering U.S. collective bargaining agreements managing grievances and supporting negotiations.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong writing and organizational skills.
  • Ability to advise and influence managers, balancing business needs, employee impact, and legal considerations.
  • Strong communicator and listener, skilled at navigating complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with database management.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with union representatives to resolve issues and prevent unnecessary escalation.
  • Administer and interpret collective bargaining agreements; advise leaders to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
  • Manage grievances end-to-end, including investigation, documentation, and pre-arbitration in partnership with HR and legal.
  • Support collective bargaining through research, analysis, and preparation of proposals and materials.
  • Prepare arbitration cases by organizing documentation, timelines, and supporting materials.
  • Coordinate labor relations activities across HR, counsel and regional stakeholders.
  • Analyze grievance and labor data to identify trends and support decision-making and risk mitigation.
  • Train and guide managers on contract interpretation and labor-related practices.
