Requirements
- Strong portfolio demonstrating cinematic 3D animation and visualization work
- Experience across the full 3D pipeline including modeling, texturing, lighting, rigging, animation, rendering, and compositing
- Proficiency with tools such as Blender, Maya, Unreal Engine, and/or After Effects
- Strong understanding of motion, timing, composition, lighting, and cinematic storytelling principles
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating within structured production pipelines
- Experience working from storyboards, animatics, or previsualization through final delivery
- Experience with CAD data conversion into production-ready 3D assets is a plus
- Background in animating mechanical systems, robotics, or engineering processes is highly desirable
- Familiarity with real-time rendering workflows, particularly Unreal Engine, is a plus
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, scientists, and technical stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality 3D animations from pre-visualization and storyboards through final rendering and compositing
- Model, texture, shade, and light assets for scientific, engineering, and mission-based visualizations
- Rig and animate mechanical systems, spacecraft, robotic systems, and technical processes
- Build realistic environments, including planetary and space-based scenes, to support narrative storytelling
- Render and composite final animation sequences for video and multimedia deliverables
- Collaborate with creative and technical teams to ensure visual accuracy and narrative clarity
- Translate complex scientific or engineering concepts into clear and engaging visual storytelling
- Iterate on creative outputs based on feedback from directors, producers, and subject-matter experts
