Requirements
- Active SCR certification
- RN credentials
- Direct clinical data abstraction experience within NSQIP or NSQIP Pediatric in the last year
- Experience with multiple EMRs and clinical databases
- Direct clinical experience
- Intermediate proficiency with MS Office (Excel)
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated technical savvy for learning new systems
- Self-organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain PHI security and confidentiality
Responsibilities
- Categorize, code, summarize, interpret and calculate registry/case information from patient medical records.
- Ensure quality submission of all data in specified registries or measure data repositories.
- Prioritize and manage multiple concurrent tasks to meet tight deadlines.
- Navigate EMR and registry entry systems, troubleshooting technical issues.
- Contribute to team best practices, data dictionaries, and abstraction guidelines.
- Monitor and maintain knowledge of federal, state, and payer regulatory reporting requirements.
