Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 6+ years of federal financial accounting experience supporting federal agencies or federal government clients.
- 2+ years of experience compiling and analyzing federal government financial statements, including proprietary and budgetary USSGL analysis.
- 2+ years of experience analyzing complex accounting and financial data within a federal financial management environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced accounting, fund accounting, and financial analysis activities to support the compilation and publication of federal financial statements.
- Analyze accounting data from source documents and federal financial management systems to identify discrepancies, trends, and reporting issues.
- Review Journal Vouchers, identify accounting errors, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
- Support financial audit activities by preparing audit documentation, responding to audit requests, and assisting with remediation and prevention of audit findings.
- Assist with reconciliations, GTAS reporting, and monthly and year-end financial reporting activities.
- Collaborate with government stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with federal accounting standards, Treasury guidance, and reporting requirements.
