Requirements
- Advanced graduate degree in science, medicine, or healthcare required; doctoral degree preferred (MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Field Medical, Medical Science Liaison, Medical Affairs, clinical research, or related pharmaceutical industry roles.
- Strong expertise in neuroscience or related therapeutic areas is highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of clinical research, pharmacotherapy, treatment guidelines, and scientific engagement strategies.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations, promotional compliance standards, and ethical guidelines within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven experience leading teams and driving organizational impact within matrixed and cross-functional environments.
- Strong coaching, mentoring, leadership, and talent development capabilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to travel extensively (approximately 60–70%) within a broad geographic territory.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel by car and air as required.
- Ability to operate effectively in remote and field-based environments while maintaining strong collaboration and execution standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and guide regional Medical Science Liaison teams to ensure excellence in field medical strategy execution and stakeholder engagement.
- Drive the implementation of field medical plans, scientific exchange initiatives, and launch readiness activities for neuroscience products.
- Oversee field medical intelligence gathering and insights generation to support cross-functional strategy development and decision-making.
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Regional Medical Directors, and global teams to align regional objectives with broader organizational goals.
- Develop and strengthen field medical capabilities through onboarding, coaching, mentoring, and soft-skills development programs.
- Coordinate and deliver MSL and MSL Manager training programs in partnership with global medical and field excellence teams.
- Support the adaptation and deployment of scientific and therapeutic resources for external medical engagement activities.
- Monitor and report on field medical KPIs, deployment strategies, engagement metrics, and operational effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical industry regulations, ethical guidelines, adverse event reporting, and promotional standards.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture focused on scientific rigor and patient-centered outcomes.
