Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on high-scale systems.
- 6+ years of expert-level, hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Extensive background in designing and scaling Microservices and Distributed Systems.
- Deep expertise in MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Redis, including advanced database optimization strategies.
- Extensive experience building scalable REST APIs for both web and mobile-first consumers.
- Experience driving organizational technical strategy and managing complex architectural discussions.
- Strong background in CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and backend performance tuning.
Responsibilities
- Drive high-level architectural decisions across distributed systems and scalable microservices.
- Lead backend re-architecture initiatives to transition legacy systems into a unified, resilient ecosystem.
- Improve system-wide scalability, observability, and performance to support global user growth.
- Direct the design and performance tuning of MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Redis environments.
- Collaborate with engineering and product leadership to define the long-term technical roadmap and strategy.
- Raise the bar for engineering excellence by mentoring senior engineers and implementing best practices for CI/CD, security, and maintainability.
- Design and support complex integrations that unify multiple invoicing products into a single, seamless experience.
