Requirements
- 15+ years of software engineering experience
- 10+ years of progressive leadership responsibility
- Experience leading engineering organizations of 50+ people
- Experience managing managers
- Experience managing contractors and delivery partners
- Consulting or professional services background
- Experience building large, enterprise, deeply integrated applications
- Ability to engage at a principal or architect level in technical decisions
- Technology-agnostic mindset with experience across diverse stacks
- Strong client-facing skills
- Ability to work East Coast hours
- Ability to travel to Baltimore HQ (~15%)
Responsibilities
- Accountable for performance, quality, and scalability of the engineering organization
- Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary engineering organization of 40+ engineers
- Manage a blended delivery model including full-time staff, contractors, and partners
- Establish and maintain engineering standards and best practices
- Partner with sales and account teams for technical solutioning from opportunity to launch
- Lead technical solutioning for complex enterprise engagements
- Identify opportunities to expand solution offerings in AI and emerging technologies
- Own engineering delivery outcomes for time, budget, and quality
