Requirements
- Strong experience as an Analytics Engineer in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to set direction for analytics engineering patterns, standards, and strategy.
- Deep, hands-on dbt production experience, including incremental models at scale (~1B rows daily).
- Experience with custom dbt macros.
- Ability to debug and optimize slow/expensive models.
- Strong dbt project architecture and maintainability knowledge.
- Excellent SQL and data modelling fundamentals.
- Experience with a semantic layer or BI modelling tool (e.g., Omni, Looker).
- Proven experience defining metrics with business stakeholders.
- Comfort operating with ambiguity.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain core dbt models that represent the business.
- Define and evolve company metrics in partnership with stakeholders.
- Implement metrics in Omni to enable team self-service.
- Lead high-impact cross-domain analytics projects.
- Make pragmatic modelling trade-offs regarding speed, accuracy, and maintainability.
- Raise data quality standards using dbt tests, CI/CD, and documentation.
- Partner with Data Engineering to diagnose issues and optimize warehouse design.
