Requirements

  • Board-certified pulmonologist or respiratory physician.
  • Active US medical license.
  • Track record of clinical practice in pulmonary and/or critical care.
  • Meaningful exposure to clinical research (PI, sub-investigator, medical monitor, advisor).
  • Expertise in respiratory indications (asthma, COPD, IPF, etc.).
  • Familiarity with spirometry, lung function endpoints, and biomarkers.
  • Ability to communicate complex clinical information to sponsors and regulators.
  • Reliable and responsive to tight timelines.
  • Ability to work independently as a 1099 contractor.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert review of respiratory trial protocols.
  • Advise on inclusion/exclusion criteria, endpoints, and safety monitoring.
  • Sense-check recruitment assumptions and identify practical barriers to enrolment.
  • Advise on site and investigator selection.
  • Support sponsor and business development via clinical and scientific credibility.
  • Offer ad-hoc clinical guidance on safety signals and adverse events.
  • Engage with investigators and external KOLs as a peer.
  • Contribute to internal SOPs and training materials.
