Requirements
- BS or Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- Proficiency in TypeScript, React, Node.js
- 3+ years of engineering management experience
- Experience leading geographically distributed and remote teams
- Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure
- Track record in cross-timezone engineering (follow-the-sun)
- Experience recruiting and hiring engineering talent
- Advanced proficiency in spoken and written English
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows preferred
Responsibilities
- Serve as a hands-on individual contributor while providing senior leadership
- Own sprint planning, backlog grooming, and delivery for Americas-based engineers
- Manage and grow the regional engineering team
- Design and operationalize a follow-the-sun engineering model with EMEA
- Champion AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and Figma Code Connect
- Define and enforce engineering standards for quality, security, and maintainability
- Partner with Platform team on AWS architecture and environment reliability
- Translate roadmap priorities into executable engineering work
