Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of accounting experience (public accounting and/or industry).
- Strong experience in general accounting, consolidation, and financial reporting.
- Deep understanding of US GAAP and the ability to draft technical accounting memos that stand up to audit scrutiny.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI to automate and streamline accounting processes.
- Open-minded and collaborative team player with the willingness to help others.
- Excitement in supporting a fast-paced high-growth environment.
- Startup/rapidly growing technology company experience (Bonus/nice to have).
- ERP/financial system implementation (Bonus/nice to have).
- Licensed CPA (Bonus/nice to have).
Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
- Manage consolidation of financial statements across entities.
- Prepare and review US GAAP financial statements.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of general ledger activity.
- Automate accounting processes using AI, including consolidation, financial statements preparation, close, reconciliations, and reporting workflows.
- Identify and implement AI-driven efficiencies to reduce manual work and improve accuracy.
- Partner cross-functionally to improve systems, data flow, and reporting.
- Support audit processes and maintain audit-ready documentation.
- Additional ad hoc projects and responsibilities as assigned.
