Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, including 2+ years in Staff or leadership roles
  • Strong experience with C# or equivalent backend technologies
  • Solid background in distributed systems architecture and large-scale platforms
  • Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
  • Expertise in Kubernetes and containerized environments
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and software delivery automation
  • Experience with observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, APM solutions)
  • Strong understanding of software design principles (SOLID, Clean Code, DRY, Twelve-Factor)
  • Experience leading architecture governance, RFC/ADR processes, and technical standards
  • Proven ability to mentor senior engineers and influence cross-team decisions
  • Strong communication skills with executive and technical stakeholders
  • Experience driving technical strategy aligned with business objectives
  • Proficiency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken)
  • Ability to thrive in a remote, distributed engineering organization

Responsibilities

  • Drive the technical vision and architecture across multiple teams and departments
  • Define and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and system design principles at scale
  • Lead architectural decisions impacting distributed systems and cross-functional initiatives
  • Identify and resolve systemic technical debt affecting multiple areas of the platform
  • Develop and maintain governance frameworks, including RFC and ADR processes
  • Lead proof-of-concept initiatives to evaluate emerging technologies and architectural approaches
  • Improve system performance, scalability, observability, and operational resilience
  • Mentor Staff Engineers and technical leaders, supporting their growth and decision-making
  • Participate in incident response and define strategies for system reliability and prevention
  • Promote collaboration across engineering, product, and business stakeholders
