Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, including 2+ years in Staff or leadership roles
- Strong experience with C# or equivalent backend technologies
- Solid background in distributed systems architecture and large-scale platforms
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Expertise in Kubernetes and containerized environments
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and software delivery automation
- Experience with observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, APM solutions)
- Strong understanding of software design principles (SOLID, Clean Code, DRY, Twelve-Factor)
- Experience leading architecture governance, RFC/ADR processes, and technical standards
- Proven ability to mentor senior engineers and influence cross-team decisions
- Strong communication skills with executive and technical stakeholders
- Experience driving technical strategy aligned with business objectives
- Proficiency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken)
- Ability to thrive in a remote, distributed engineering organization
Responsibilities
- Drive the technical vision and architecture across multiple teams and departments
- Define and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and system design principles at scale
- Lead architectural decisions impacting distributed systems and cross-functional initiatives
- Identify and resolve systemic technical debt affecting multiple areas of the platform
- Develop and maintain governance frameworks, including RFC and ADR processes
- Lead proof-of-concept initiatives to evaluate emerging technologies and architectural approaches
- Improve system performance, scalability, observability, and operational resilience
- Mentor Staff Engineers and technical leaders, supporting their growth and decision-making
- Participate in incident response and define strategies for system reliability and prevention
- Promote collaboration across engineering, product, and business stakeholders
