Requirements
- Proven experience in international direct taxation, preferably in a consultancy or multinational corporate environment.
- Strong understanding of global corporate tax rules, cross-border compliance, tax treaties, and EU Directives.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability to analyze complex data sets and provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder communication skills across regions and functions.
- Startup or fintech experience is a plus.
- Prior remote work experience is advantageous but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, Accounting, or related field; Post-Graduate or Master’s degree in Taxation is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Oversee global direct tax compliance, ensuring timely and accurate preparation and submission of corporate income tax returns, withholding tax returns, and other direct tax filings across all company entities.
- Partner with external tax advisors to support filings, documentation, and reporting obligations in multiple jurisdictions.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with local tax authorities, mitigating risk and maintaining strong relationships.
- Identify, monitor, and address potential tax risks, proposing actionable solutions.
- Assist in managing audits and inspections, liaising with tax authorities to resolve issues efficiently.
- Provide strategic tax guidance on cross-border transactions, corporate structuring, and tax-efficient planning aligned with business objectives.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in global tax laws and proactively adapt processes and strategies.
- Mentor and guide a team of tax professionals, supporting their development and day-to-day execution.
- Work closely with finance, legal, HR, and other departments to ensure seamless tax compliance and reporting.
