Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years experience in brand design, in house or agency
- Portfolio of work that demonstrates excellent design across a range of channels/surfaces and strong process
- Skilled in Figma (collaborative use of features including building and using brand libraries, variables and components), Adobe Creative Suite (3D and motion preferred), and Google Docs.
- Your design principles and fundamentals are excellent: layout, hierarchy, balance, typography, color theory
- You have pixel-perfect attention to detail.
- You ‘show your work’ through process and iteration, demonstrated in portfolio
- You take a generous approach to collaboration: giving and receiving feedback freely and openly in design crits with a kind, constructive mindset
- You are flexible and adaptable to create great work in a fast moving, dynamic environment
- You manage your calendar and work flow effectively to maximize your productivity
- You have a spirit of curiosity and a drive to seek new ground. You desire to learn new things to address skills gaps on the team and drive your personal and career growth
Responsibilities
- Creating visual systems that tell clear stories, and leave an impression on our audiences and Marqeta’s visual brand.
- Producing end to end creative for campaigns, across various channels and brand surfaces.
- Building wireframes and create visuals for responsive web experiences that drive conversion
- Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to define strategic approach and design effective, compelling presentations
- Help scale our design impact by implementing design systems, leveraging automation tools. building effective templates, collaborating with our data and insights teams to test and optimize our work, and evolving/adjusting our processes for an increasingly efficient workflow.
