Requirements
- Advanced degree required (PhD, MD, MBA, or equivalent); strong preference for life sciences, oncology, or business-focused graduate education
- 8+ years of experience in biopharmaceutical commercial roles, including marketing, commercial strategy, pipeline development, or business development
- Strong background in oncology with deep understanding of disease biology, market dynamics, and competitive landscape
- Experience in early pipeline commercialization, including product positioning, market assessment, and strategic forecasting
- Prior exposure to consulting or strategic advisory roles in life sciences strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience working across R&D and commercial functions in complex, matrixed organizations
- Strong analytical, financial, and strategic thinking capabilities with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Experience in business development activities, including due diligence, partnership evaluation, and deal support
- Proven ability to influence senior executives and contribute to enterprise-level investment decisions
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Define and drive early-stage oncology commercial strategy in partnership with senior leadership, ensuring alignment between R&D investment decisions and long-term business objectives
- Develop and apply structured frameworks to evaluate and prioritize early pipeline oncology assets based on scientific differentiation, commercial viability, and market opportunity
- Partner with R&D teams to shape target product profiles (TPPs) and ensure commercial relevance is embedded into early research and development efforts
- Build robust business cases and strategic assessments to support go/no-go decisions for early-stage assets and portfolio investments
- Collaborate with business development teams to evaluate external innovation opportunities, including in-licensing, partnerships, and acquisitions
- Contribute to enterprise portfolio governance processes by integrating commercial insights into investment prioritization and strategic planning
- Conduct market, competitive, and payer landscape analyses to inform pipeline strategy and commercialization pathways
- Support cross-functional alignment across commercial, finance, and R&D stakeholders to ensure cohesive portfolio execution
