Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Active CPA license required.
  • 5+ years of experience in revenue accounting, preferably within SaaS or technology-driven environments.
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles.
  • Experience with ERP and CRM systems such as NetSuite, Salesforce, and Stripe is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop accounting teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes, implement controls, and drive operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end revenue recognition process in compliance with ASC 606, ensuring accurate, timely, and audit-ready financial reporting.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including revenue reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, variance analysis, and AR/commission-related accounting.
  • Design and optimize scalable order-to-cash and revenue accounting processes, improving accuracy, efficiency, and system automation where possible.
  • Partner with technical revenue teams to interpret complex contracts and ensure proper revenue treatment within accounting systems such as NetSuite ARM.
  • Collaborate with Deal Desk, Legal, and Sales teams during contract reviews to provide guidance on revenue recognition and billing impacts.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of revenue accountants, supporting performance management, training, and professional growth.
  • Support external audits by preparing and maintaining complete, audit-ready documentation.
  • Work closely with FP&A to align revenue data with forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor and enhance internal controls related to revenue accounting to ensure compliance and accuracy.
