Requirements
- 7–8 years of strong software engineering experience with proficiency in Python or NodeJS.
- Experience designing and developing high-availability, external-facing RESTful APIs.
- Strong understanding of API design principles including versioning, pagination, and backward compatibility.
- Hands-on experience with data systems and pipelines at scale.
- Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.
- Experience with containerization and infrastructure tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Terraform.
- Solid understanding of databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., CircleCI), Git, and JIRA workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues.
- Exposure to ElasticSearch, ETL pipelines, or healthcare/data delivery systems is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs and backend services supporting healthcare data platforms.
- Contribute to the evolution of RESTful APIs, improving structure, usability, versioning, and performance.
- Build and enhance data pipelines and transformation workflows supporting API and file-based data delivery.
- Implement scalable integration patterns for internal systems and external data exchange.
- Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability as data volumes and product complexity grow.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system, API, and data-related issues across distributed environments.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with governance and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and data teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready solutions.
- Apply AI-assisted development tools and practices to improve engineering efficiency and output quality.
