Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in sports trading, sportsbook operations, or a similar betting/odds environment.
- Strong understanding of sports betting markets, pricing models, risk management, and customer betting behavior.
- Highly analytical mindset with strong mathematical skills and comfort working with large, fast-moving datasets.
- Experience with live trading environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate under pressure, make fast decisions, and manage multiple priorities in real time.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical, analytical, and commercial teams.
- Proven ability to work independently while contributing effectively in collaborative, cross-functional environments.
- High attention to detail, strong initiative, and a disciplined approach to execution.
- Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end trading strategy for assigned sports, including pricing models, margin targets, market positioning, and key commercial KPIs.
- Oversee market setup, limits, and ongoing adjustments across seasons, tournaments, and live events to ensure optimal coverage and performance.
- Design, launch, and manage specials, promotions, and betting markets using data-driven and analytically grounded approaches.
- Monitor liabilities, customer behavior, and betting patterns in real time, collaborating with analytics teams to refine risk and performance strategies.
- Define and implement trading philosophies (e.g., pricing aggressiveness, automation levels) and ensure consistent execution across the team.
- Partner with product, analytics, and executive leadership to shape sportsbook roadmap, promotions strategy, and major event planning.
- Lead performance monitoring, reporting, and deep-dive analysis to continuously improve trading efficiency, accuracy, and profitability.
- Ensure compliance adherence, operational transparency, and high-quality communication across internal and external stakeholders.
