Requirements
- Degree in computer science, business administration, finance, engineering, or a comparable qualification, or equivalent practical experience with a strong functional focus
- Strong understanding of banking processes, especially SAP CML, cashflows, interest calculations, and accounting logic
- Several years of experience in ABAP development, ideally in an SAP S/4HANA environment (on-premise or private cloud)
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to work effectively with complex, existing system landscapes
- Ability to translate complex financial and regulatory requirements into clear and stable technical implementations
- Experience working with established development standards, including documentation and maintainable code structures
- Willingness to work on existing codebases (maintenance, enhancement, refactoring)
- Customer-oriented mindset (customers first), internal and external, with willingness to take responsibility for a product
- Very good German and English language skills
- Knowledge of SAP FI in a banking context
- Background in accounting or regulatory-driven banking projects
- Knowledge of SAP Treasury and Risk Management (TRM), especially in relation to financial instruments, cashflows, and valuation logic
Responsibilities
- Maintain, enhance, and stabilize existing ABAP-based applications in a banking context, with a strong focus on SAP CML and accounting-related processes
- Analyze and understand complex financial products, cashflows, interest calculations, and accounting logic
- Translate functional, business, and regulatory requirements into robust and maintainable technical solutions
- Debug, refactor, and improve existing code to ensure long-term quality and system stability
- Act as a technical counterpart for functional stakeholders and support clarifications from a business perspective
- Collaborate with distributed teams including functional experts, developers, and user assistance
- Contribute to documentation, testing, and continuous improvement of existing applications
- Take ownership and responsibility for applications and products over their full lifecycle
