Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in operational or technical accounting
- Strong understanding of accrual-based accounting, subledger processes, and accounting best practices
- Experienced in partnering with technical teams and communicating accounting concepts in a systems context
- Comfortable working in data-driven or system-heavy environments
- Structured, analytical approach to problem solving and comfortable navigating ambiguity
- Experience working with ERP systems
- Interested in developing technical skillset and working more closely with engineering
- Enjoy working at the intersection of finance, systems, and product in evolving environments
- NetSuite experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Act as the embedded accounting domain expert within Financial Engineering R&D
- Guide system and product design to ensure accounting best practices and controls
- Translate complex accounting requirements into scalable, structured system inputs
- Partner closely with engineers and product teams to shape flows
- Contribute to the development lifecycle by informing, prototyping, and validating solutions
- Analyze existing accounting flows to separate core requirements from legacy technical constraints
- Help define and standardize accounting logic across systems
- Break down ambiguous financial and technical challenges into simple, practical solutions
