Requirements

  • 4-6+ years in growth / product growth / lifecycle (startup experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong analytics instincts (funnels, cohorts, attribution) and comfort working with product/engineering to instrument events.
  • Excellent copy/messaging skills (trust-sensitive audience).
  • Comfortable doing the work: CRM/lifecycle setup, spreadsheets, experiment design, cohort ops.
  • Can operate with ambiguity and prioritize ruthlessly.
  • Fluent in English and proficient in academic speak.

Responsibilities

  • Own the growth model + metrics: Define activation, sharing, invites, review completion, rescore, and retention metrics; build a weekly ‘flywheel health’ dashboard and run the weekly growth cadence.
  • Run acquisition for the first wedge cohort: Recruit and manage early users (authors + reviewers), including outreach, scheduling sessions, and turning insights into product changes.
  • Design and execute lifecycle: Onboarding, re-engagement, rescore prompts, reviewer invite and completion nudges—across email and in-product messaging.
  • Own experimentation: Maintain a prioritized experiment backlog; run A/B and rapid iteration across onboarding, report UX, share flow, and reviewer loop conversion.
  • Scale into ‘lab pods’ over time: Help convert early traction into repeat usage via lab-level workflows and repeatable onboarding playbooks.
