Requirements
- Experienced clinician with a passion for working with children, adolescents, young adults and their families using evidence-based assessment practices
- Skilled in facilitating both in-person and virtual telehealth intake evaluations with strong technical proficiency (Google Suite, EMR systems, virtual platforms)
- Proactive problem-solver with strong clinical judgment and excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Dedicated to high-touch, comprehensive care — not just completing an evaluation, but truly partnering with families and caregivers from the start
- Collaborative team player who values clinical consultation, feedback, and professional growth
- Independently licensed as an LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or PsyD/PhD in Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Virginia
- Possess one (1) year of experience providing individual, direct care to children and adolescent patients
- Have one (1) year of experience working in a telehealth or virtual setting
- Own your own phone, computer, and high-speed internet
- Flexibility to work during Blackbird's core after-school hours: after 4pm ET during the week and/or weekends
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive intake evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 2–26), building meaningful first connections through high-quality, thorough assessment
- Develop individualized treatment plans that establish a strong clinical foundation and ensure each patient is matched to the right ongoing provider and care approach
- Invest in first impressions by establishing positive, trusting rapport with patients and families from the very first session
- Participate in consultation to enhance clinical skills and receive feedback and support
- Collaborate with specialty providers to ensure seamless care transitions
- Maintain thorough, timely intake documentation and patient records
- Involve and advise family members or outside specialists when appropriate during the intake process
