Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Big 4 public accounting and prior controller or assistant controller roles
  • Proven experience in PE-backed environments with direct exposure to lender reporting, compliance certificates, and covenant-driven reporting requirements
  • Deep expertise in US GAAP, particularly ASC 606 revenue recognition across multi-product and multi-revenue model businesses
  • Strong experience with revenue systems such as RevPro and enterprise ERP systems like NetSuite
  • Demonstrated ability to rebuild or transform financial close processes, including improving controls, accuracy, and automation
  • Experience managing global accounting teams across multiple geographies, including statutory audits in international markets
  • Strong technical accounting research and communication skills, with ability to translate complex topics for non-finance stakeholders
  • Experience with SaaS, subscription, licensing, and services-based revenue models is highly preferred
  • CPA certification strongly preferred with a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with a hands-on, transformation-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

  • Own the global financial close process across monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and disciplined close governance
  • Lead the preparation of executive, lender, and external reporting packages, including Non-GAAP financial reporting and compliance certificates
  • Oversee all technical accounting functions, including ASC 606 revenue recognition, deferred revenue management, and SSP analysis
  • Manage end-to-end reconciliation processes between GAAP revenue, billings, contract assets, and deferred revenue across multiple revenue models
  • Serve as the primary owner of audit relationships, including annual external audits and statutory audits across global regions
  • Lead and develop a distributed global accounting organization, including shared services and regional finance teams
  • Drive process transformation initiatives, including system optimization, automation, and elimination of manual accounting workflows
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements across all jurisdictions
  • Partner with FP&A, Tax, Revenue Operations, and executive leadership on financial strategy and complex transaction accounting
  • Act as a key escalation point for accounting issues while continuously improving financial data integrity and reporting reliability
